This policy explains trials, renewals, cancellation, and refunds for LumiCodex subscriptions. It supplements the Terms of Service and is administered through Stripe and the customer billing portal.
1. Free trial
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required up front. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription converts to paid and your payment method is charged automatically.
2. Renewal
Subscriptions are monthly or annual and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You are charged at the start of each period at the price shown at checkout (plus applicable tax, where due).
3. Cancellation
You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then, and you are not billed again. After the period ends, the account moves to a restricted/read-only state; there is no permanent free tier.
4. Refunds
Outside of mandatory legal rights, subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time in a period. We may, at our discretion or where required by law, issue a refund — for example, for duplicate charges or proven billing errors.
5. EU/UK consumer right of withdrawal
If you are an EU or UK consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for a distance contract. By creating your account and starting your trial or subscription, you expressly request that the service begin immediately, before the end of the withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw after performance has begun but before the service is fully performed, you owe us an amount proportionate to the service provided up to the time you informed us of your withdrawal. This does not affect any mandatory legal guarantee of conformity. To withdraw, use the withdrawal form or email support [at] lumicodex [dot] com.
6. Plan changes
You can upgrade or downgrade between Pro and Studio, or between monthly and annual billing, from the billing portal. Stripe handles any proration according to the timing of the change.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we retry and notify you. The account may enter a grace period; if payment is not resolved, access may be restricted and the subscription may be cancelled.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at support [at] lumicodex [dot] com so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may lead to suspension while we investigate.
9. Corporate
Corporate plans follow their separate written agreement, which governs billing, refunds, and cancellation for those customers.

Gallery purchases
One-time album and collection purchases from creators have separate Gallery Purchase Terms. The subscription cancellation and pro-rating rules above do not describe those purchases.
Before paying, customers expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge that they lose the withdrawal right once supply begins, where the applicable legal conditions are met. Customers receive a downloadable confirmation with the exact agreement before opening the gallery. Payment alone does not establish consumption or loss of withdrawal rights.
Once the withdrawal right has validly been lost, change-of-mind refunds are ordinarily unavailable. Mandatory remedies for faulty, unavailable or misdescribed content remain, including obligations relating to ongoing supply. Creators may also refund billing errors or approve a goodwill refund. Opening or downloading content does not automatically reject a request.
Contact the creator or support [at] lumicodex [dot] com with your purchase reference and the issue. Where withdrawal remains available, you may send an unambiguous notice or use the model withdrawal form. A full refund ends access granted by that purchase and is retained in purchase history. Previously downloaded or saved files cannot be recalled.
